Memories

            November, the month of Children's Day or Children's Month. It is celebrated every year to give children's a day of fun so that this will remain in their hearts. Because this day, even if it's just a day or two, the memories will forever remain. Those memories will be marked as childhood memories which is one of the best memories a person can have. Children's Month is also celebrated to make all children to feel that they are special and that they are loved. For this year, the theme is, "Isulong: Tamang Pag-Aaruga sa Lahat ng Bata." This theme is sending us forms of violence on children and pushes for a safe, nurturing and protective environment for them through positive discipline. 

            Children are so precious. They are a gift of nature. They make our surroundings happy and lighter because they are a beam of sunlight and happiness from the Infinite and Eternal, with possibilities of virtue and vice. They are the ones who bring a smile on our faces. They are the world's most valuable resources and its best hope for the future. It is only the best if we make them safe by taking good care of them. They are so innocent so it is reasonable to stop violence against them. 

            Celebrating Children's Month is one of a kind. Because of this, children make good memories of their childhood. Childhood is one of the best that we can have because we can't buy things like this. The goal of celebrating this Children's Month is to improve child's welfare worldwide, promote and celebrate children's rights, and promote togetherness and awareness among all children. Children are like angels that had fallen so give them a day to have fun, to have time to play, and make way for their future. 

Maging Mapanuri

            Sa tuwing sumasapit ang buwan ng Nobyembre ay ipinagdidiriwang natin ang Filipino Values Month o EsP Month. At sa tuwing ito ay sumasapit, hindi maaaring walang mga aktibidades at mga patimpalak na sasalihan ng mga estudyante at pati narin ng mga guro. Ang mga aktibidades at mga patimpalak ay maaaring paggawa ng tula, paggawa ng sanaysay, paggawa ng poster at slogan, pagkanta, spoken poetry, at tagis talino. Sa mga ganitong pagdiriwang, hindi mawawalan ng tema. Sa taong ito, ang tema ay, "Mapanuring Paggamit ng Gadget: Tungo sa Mapagkalingang Ugnayan sa Pamilya at Kapwa."

            Sa panahon natin ngayon kung saan moderno na lahat at ang mga liham noon na nagsilbing pakikipag-usap at pakikipag-ugnayan ay napalitan na lahat ngayon ng mga makabagong teknolohiya gaya na lamang ng gadgets. Sa ibang tao, ang gadgets ay nakasisira sa buhay ng mga tao lalong-lalo na sa mga kabataan ngayon na puro gadgets na lamang ang alam. Sa ibang tao naman, ang gadgets ay sobrang nakatutulong sa pagbilis ng mga gawain tulad ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa kapwa lalong-lalo na sa mga kaibigan at pamilya.

            Sa tema ng Filipino Values Month ngayong taon na ito ay nagbibigay ng mensahe na dapat ay suriin natin ang mga masasamang epekto ng gadgets sa buhay natin gaya ng paglalayo ng damdamin natin o hindi pagkakaroon ng sapat na oras para sa kapwa at pamilya. Dapat ay kailangan nating isipin kung ang paraan ba ng paggamit natin ng gadgets ay wasto at kung kailan natin ito ititigil sa paggamit.

            Sa lahat ng oras o panahon, kailangan natin ng kaalaman. Oo nga't maraming masasamang epekto ang mga gadgets pero kung susuriin nating mabuti, nagkakaroon lang ng masamang epekto ito sa atin kung hindi natin ito alam gamitin sa wastong paraan. Gamitin ito sa wastong paraan gaya ng pakikipag-ugnayan dahil ang mga gadgets ay inimbento upang mapadali at hindi na tayo mahirapan pang makipag-ugnayan sa pamilya natin at sa kapwa natin.

An Important Key

          In the DepEd Monthly Celebrations, November is the month regarded as the English Month. All schools nationwide celebrate it with various activities and competitions such as Extemporaneous Speech, Interpretive Reading, Declamation, Essay Writing, Quiz Bee, and Speech Choir. This year, the English Month Theme is, "Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan".

          Reading is a means for language acquisition, communication, and sharing information and ideas. It is how we discover new things and how we develop a positive self-image. It helps your mind to expand more, to gain knowledge, and develop your imagination. Reading is just one word but it is probably one of the most beneficial and feasible activities that a human being can do. It is through reading that a person can discover new things, ideas, places, people, etc. Reading is essential because it is one of the most important skills a child can learn because it would be difficult to master any subject without knowing how to read. Reading helps us understand life inside and outside of school so it is really important.

          This year's theme probably encourages us all people to read for us to have a better future. Because the more you read, the more things you will know and the more that you learn. But reading should not be presented to people as a chore or a duty, it should be offered as a gift for they will benefit from it. Reading changes everything and that includes our future. It will change from better to best. So start reading because it is an important key for you to have the future you want to have.
